REVIEWS
★★★...Call it charming or strange, TUTA Chicago cabaret is the real deal...Plenty of cabarets claim eclecticism. But I submit that "Fulton Street Sessions," a little cabaret very much in the more eclectic Eastern European tradition of the word, is the only show on the planet where the song set ranges from "I Just Called to Say I Love You" to "Nearer My God to Thee" to "Black Betty," replete with an especially notable "bam-ba-lam."

"It's an always surprising 80 minutes that will keep you slightly off balance — as good theatre often does — and will keep you always engaged."
- Dueling Critics, Eight-Forty-Eight, WBEZ 91.5 (Full Review)
"This TUTA show grew out of improvisational sessions, but be assured there is nothing raw or unpolished in its subtly assembled, expertly performed collection of scenes that, at turns, suggest isolation, incomprehension, disorientation, lowgrade torture, erotic distraction, competition, forced conformity and many other trials and tribulations in that farce we call human existence. And the decidedly individualistic performers — Trey Maclin, Stacie Beth Green, Jamielyn Gray, Jacqueline Stone and Kirk Anderson — are ideally in synch with each other and the quirky material of their own making."

"TUTA is hosting a gathering and everyone is invited. FULTON STREET SESSIONS is a TUTA party where they supply it... BYOI: Bring Your Own Innovation."

"Fulton Street Sessions is a great night of theater. The blend of music, comedy, and empathy makes for a challenging and exciting night. Go see it and take a friend. Those easily offended should be the first to go! This lays bare all of the fake B.S. that engenders such delicate sensibilities. Loved it!"

"Fulton Street is an inspired bit of silliness."

"...we can all bask in TUTA's trademark musical interludes, performed with professional panache by the cast and concluding with a springtime madrigal reconfigued to the rousing, foot-stamping, hand-clapping, drum-beating tempo of a Klezmer orchestra to send us home through a winter not yet fully departed."
- Windy City Times (Full Review)
"One hears the phrase "cabaret-style production" and immediately thinks of pantomime, piano, poetry readings and pretention. Thankfully, TUTA Theatre Chicago's highly unique and often thrilling production is non of these things. In short: this ain't your mother's experimental cabaret."

"The performers are engaging throughout, and there are moments of real brilliance."
